4H Recognition
The CHA has been receiving pictures of successful 4-H Hereford entries. Everyone is invited from across the country to provide a picture of their son or daughter and their animal, if they have placed 1st in their class or higher at a 4-H show.
Please forward submissions to Brad or Erin. Don’t forget to provide your child’s name, animal name, 4-H club and the placing. We are looking forward to creating a section in the Digest that is dedicated to Herefords in 4-H.

Young Guns Program
The Young Guns Program was developed to encourage graduating junior members to continue their membership with the CHA but at reduced costs. The member would get all the benefits of an adult member. Visit here for more information.

2011 Bonanza
CONGRATULATIONS JUNIORS! Manitoba Juniors had another great show at Bonanza 2011 in Saskatoon. The juniors that attended were Bennett and Bobbi-Jo Foster, Matthew and Jennifer Fossay, Amy Troop, Brady Mitchell, Curtis Lovett, Jay, Samantha and Levi Rimke, Copper and Langley Blaine, Chelsea Lawn and Orianna and Teegan Hyndman.
The juniors were kept busy attending and showing the 28 head they had tied in the stall. A complete listing of the results can be found here.

The Manitoba Juniors would like to thank David Reid and all the committee members for a fantastic Bonanza. Everything ran like clock work. The meals were delicious, the weather was wonderful and the facilities were top notch.
And last but not least, the juniors extend a huge THANK YOU to Ted and Mina Serienko and the staff and T Bar C for the extremely generous donation. Every year, T Bar C hosts a golf tournament at the Dakota Dunes Golf Course in Saskatoon. The proceeds are divided among various youth associations across Canada. Ted, Mina and the staff are huge supporters of the youth involved in the cattle industry. Their support is second to none and the Manitoba juniors are extremely appreciative of their support. THANK YOU!
