Pre-Tour Agenda

  • Sun Jul 8: Arrive in Vancouver, BC

  • Mon Jul 9: Travel by coach service to Merritt, BC. Cattle event and lunch will take place at Murphy Ridge Farms in Abbotsford, BC. Continue to Copper Creek Ranch in Princeton where they will host a cattle event and dinner. Overnight in Merritt.

  • Tue Jul 10: Travel by coach to Kamloops. Lunch is at Quilchena Hotel where you will meet Guy Rose and family and hear the history of Quilchena Cattle Company. Tour will continue to Douglas Lake Ranch.

  • Wed Jul 11: Full day coach service to Banff. Upon arrival at Three valley Gap, a tour of the Bell Gardens and the Ghost Town i included before the Steak Barbeque Lunch.-

  • Thu Jul 12: Arrive at the Sheraton Cavalier in Calgary

World Hereford Conference Agenda

  • Fri Jul 13: World Hereford Conference Meeting at 1:00 pm. Meet and greet social located at the Sheraton Cavalier Ballroom starts at 7:00 pm.

  • Sat Jul 14: Technical Conference at the Calgary Stampede Grounds. Lunch will be included. Dinner will be at the Stampede Grounds where you will enjoy the Stampede Chuckwagon and Grandstand Show

  • Sun Jul 15: Pancake breakfast with entertainment at the hotel. Free day to enjoy the Calgary Stampede or other plans you may have.

  • Mon Jul 16: Breakfast will be at the Sheraton Cavalier. Optional tours will be offered for Blackfoot Crossing and Drumheller. For those not going on tours, we will travel to Olds with a stop at Cross Iron Mills Shopping Center to visit a bass pro shop. We will then continue to Olds Agricultural grounds. The World Hereford Conference Bonanza Cattle show will start at 9:00 am. Dinner will be in Olds.

  • Tue Jul 17: Breakfast will be at the Sheraton Cavalier. We will then depart for Olds for the events of the World Hereford Conference National Show. Dinner will be in Olds.

  • Wed Jul 18: Breakfast will be at the Sheraton Cavalier. Depart from the hotel to enjoy the Rancher Day Cattle events in Olds. Lunch will be in Olds. Farewell barbeque dinner and closing ceremonies will be included.

  • Thu Jul 19: Breakfast will be at the Sheraton Cavalier. This morning, you will depart for the airport, post tour or wherever your travels take you.

Post-Tour Agenda

  • Thu Jul 19: Travel to Moose Jaw with a stop at Maple Creek for lunch. Visit a Hutterite Colony at Simmie, Sk

  • Fri Jul 20: Morning will be at your leisure. After lunch, you will tour to Regina, SK for a tour of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Center. BBQ dinner and cattle display will be hosted by Crittenden Bros Polled Herefords.

  • Sat Jul 21: Depart for Brandon for the Manitoba Hereford Association Field Day hosted at RSK Farms, Brandon. Dinner will be included. *** LEARN MORE HERE ***

  • Sun Jul 22: Breakfast at the Days Inn in Brandon and then a tour of the AAFC Research Center. Picnic lunch will be served. Will then depart to Winnipeg for the flight to Toronto.

  • Mon Jul 23: Leave for Orangeville Ag society Grounds where local breeders will have cattle on display. Lunch and entertainment will be hosted by the Ontario Hereford Association. Will tour a feedlot and a corn flacking plant after lunch followed by a scenic drive through Dufferin County and a tour of the Dufferin County Museum. Dinner and evening is on your own.

  • Tue Jul 24: The coach will travel to Niagara Falls. Travel today through the lush wine region on the Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls. A ride is planned aboard the famous “Mist of the Maid”. A lunch at Skylon Tower prior to your return to the Toronto Airport.
